About Me - Matt Hanlon - Accountant & Tax Advisor
I qualified with McDonagh Hawkins & Co as a Chartered Certified Accountant, where I trained for 3 years until 1999.
I then joined Keogh Accountancy Group. While there, I qualified as a tax advisor with the Irish Taxation Institute. I then went on to qualify as an auditor and obtained my practice certificate. I gained extensive knowledge and experience with a wide variety of businesses, both sole traders and corporate clients, dealing mainly in company accounts and audits. These included shops, restaurants, hotels, construction companies, motor dealership, group and consolidation accounts (including foreign companies).
In 2007, I left practice to become the Financial Controller for a private company based in Galway City. This company is involved in the installation and maintenance of telecommunicatiosn equipment nationwide, with a work force of over 50 employees. I gained extensive knowledge of all aspects of the running of a business of this size, including monthly management accounts, cash-flow forecasting, employment regulations, Health and Safety regulations.
Due to my experience in both private practice and the industrial sector, I am in a unique position to offer you the benefit of my experiences in all aspects of Financial planning and reporting, and regulatory and business requirements.
